Its cheating, but if you dont have time to farm good gear or level a character to max, it obviously saves you the trouble. Crazy good gear, high level characters, etc. You can basically just edit the game to include anything you want. Some like to just get to OP8 and call it quits. Some people like to beat all the raid bosses on OP8. Some people like to reset UVHM to beat everything on OP8. ![]() OP8 is obtained once you have run the digistruct peak gauntlet 8 times and increased the difficulty each time. All of your mission progress will still be the same as it has been in UVHM, everything will just be 1 level higher per OP level (up to level 80, 72+8 OPs) and run digistruct peak again The OP levels are not a seperate playthrough though. This means if you wish to progress from OP1 to OP2 (for example) after you beat digistruct peak at level 72, you will have to save and quit to the main menu, increase the difficulty to OP1, and then restart your game. Each OP level is a unique difficulty setting and will have to be set from the main menu. You have to beat the gauntlet of digistruct peak for each OP level you wish to obtain. Endgame includes farming OP gear and getting to OP8. I run it a second time skipping unique reward missions, to level to 72, and prepare for UVHM. I run it once and just do everything and collect anything. I like to run UVHM twice, so I suppose there is a 3.5 for me. Playthrough 3.5 is more often referred to as endgame i suppose. Any unique loot you may get will help you get comfortable with the new difficulty. On your first time in UVHM just beat any mission as they are available. You will obviously have to gain some to obtain certain mission rewards. Try not to gain any xp after 50 to avoid overleveling before UVHM. Go get the gear you think you may need for UVHM. Save any mission with a blue or rarer reward item until after you have turned in the last story mission in TVHM.Ģ.5 is exactly that. If you get bored, head into TVHMġ00% correct. (IIRC you can get to 35 in normal and TVHM starts at 30)Īgain, just beat everything in normal. The loot will be nice to bring into TVHM and you will start TVHM w a comfy buffer of a couple levels. You will stop gaining xp at some point during the DLCs, but like I said, just play for the story. Normal: playthrough 1, TVHM: playthrough 2, UVHM: playthrough 3īeat everything in normal. ![]() I will address each of your points directly to make it easier. I have learned a few things about the progression that can help you here. I have played countless hours of BL2 and have played w noobs and vets alike. Still loving the game, currently pushing through the first playthrough of UVHM with 2 others, just looking for advice on what to conquer next Once through OP 8 what is the incentive to get said gear?Īnd to add more confusion with mods like Gibbed, what is even the point? You get the best gear to do what? kill stuff fast because you can?Ĭoming from other arpg type games like D2/D3 I had a better grasp on the progression system, either getting items to do boss runs faster to make more builds and get 99 for D2 or getting better items to push higher grifts/farm paragon in D3. ![]() Do you just farm the bosses then to get OP8 gear. When do you go to a different OP, what dictates OP 8 status. this is where my understanding really falls apart. ![]() Playthrough 3.5? is that a thing? farming for more gear to start the OP levels maybe? When is it better to go to Op levels when is it better to reset quests? Can you brute force to higher OP levels like lvl 4 with lvl 1 gear? Do you need to complete each level to get the next? UVHM playthrough 3 similar to playthrough 2 get to end leave quests up get to 60? or is it better to get items along the way since you can reset? Do you want to end at 60 or doesn't it matter? Not sure if this means just quest items or actually farming bosses like bunker and warrior and others etc? Because quests scale now get lvl 50 items that will help you in the next difficulty. important not to level too high as playthrough 3 will be too hard. TVHM playthrough 2, beat game again, leave most of side quests behind and kill warrior when you hit 50. some say to farm some items on the way to beating the warrior? others just blast through and continue to next difficutly.Īfter first playthrough get any quest rewards that will help your build moving forward(thinking melee zero so law/order rubi etc) This brings me to BL2 where there is a decent amount of info regarding the end game, but very little in terms of progression to get there.įrom what I have read/seen this is my idea of what how to progressįirst playthrough beat game by roughly lvl 30. So I always try to find the "optimal" path for a game. Some might say that's the fun of exploring the game and figuring stuff out, but for me I find it tedious and inefficient which irks me a bit. With any game I am always curious on what I should be doing, when, while progressing through the game.
